Heyou once worked Salthewn with the syndicate he ran with, and his past there surfaced during the chaotic eruption at the Sacred Pyre of Drosven’s Gate, linking the town to broader dangers. The forges of Salthewn are known for a distinctive flammable, kerosene-like substance vital for metalworking — an oily ooze-secretion Heyou later recognized coating the walls of the titan tunnels far to the east, where its ichor caught fire in the dark. The city's impressive skyline, rising on its cliffs above the sea, is visible from the surrounding mountainous country, guiding travelers toward it.
