Pinchie, the collared crab, is a large creature characterized by the collar fitted around its body. Jamal captured the crab from a crater lake, where it was initially swimming freely. After a struggle underwater, he managed to tear off its claws and affix the collar to it, transforming it into a companion.
During an encounter with other crabs, the crab was present as the group harvested crab carcasses for food. The crab's potential for regeneration was noted, as Sylvie discovered that the harvested crabs would slowly regenerate if not thoroughly processed. More recently, Pinchie charged at a towering eldritch creature during a confrontation, successfully grappling it and inflicting heavy damage while holding it in place. This action allowed Jamal to deliver a strong strike against the creature, showcasing Pinchie's combat capabilities and providing a strategic advantage to the group.
Additionally, Pinchie was discovered by Jamal during their adventures and is a companion of the party. He was contained by staff within a wagon "fence" in a courtyard at the Celsian Compound without incident. The party left Pinchie outside at the request of Dagga Brunnvar, who stated there would not be sufficient stabling for him. While the other party members interacted with various entities and explored the compound, Pinchie remained calm, penned by carts, demonstrating a relaxed demeanor amidst the activity.
